In addition to our ultrasonic thickness gauges we stock Holiday Detectors which detect tiny imperfections in paint coatings. By using the speed at which the sound waves return to the detector it is able to work out how thick the coat of paint or the metal is. Holiday Detectors use the distortions in the sound waves to calculate the types of imperfection.
