The bore gauge offers an accurate method of measuring a bore, or detecting a taper or ovality.
The dial bore gauge must be calibrated to a known size and will indicate the deviation from that size by a maximum of 1mm.
An outside micrometer, setting ring or slip gauges can be used to calibrate the bore gauge. The bore gauge has a knurled locknut to secure the anvils and spacers.
There is a sprung loaded guide used to centralize the two measuring contact points to the bore. At the opposite end of the gauge there is a heat insulating handle with a split collet and knurled locking ring to secure the dial indicator.
