Das Elcometer 456 ist nach wie vor das modernste tragbare Schichtdickenmessgerät auf dem Markt. Das Farbdickenmessgerät 456 dient zur Messung von Beschichtungen auf Metalloberflächen. Es ist ein digitales Dickenmessgerät und liefert somit eine sehr genaue, wiederholbare Ablesung. Der 456-FNF kann Eisen (FF), Nichteisen (NF) und Doppeleisen (FNF) messen. Das Elcometer 456 kann mehr als 60 Messungen pro Minute durchführen. Die Batterielebensdauer beträgt 30-40 Stunden bei Dauerbetrieb mit alkalischen Trockenbatterien.
