Megger IDAX 300 Insulation Diagnostic Analyser

The IDAX 300 is a compact instrument and is used together with an external PC to diagnose systems and components in the electrical grid, providing condition assessments of insulation in transformers 

Intended for use in medium and high-voltage substations and industrial environments, the IDAX 300 provides an accurate and reliable condition assessment of insulation in transformers, bushings, generators and cables, analysing the results using a modelling technique. This makes it possible to assess the moisture level in the solid insulation, oil conductivity/tan delta and power frequency tan delta at reference temperature (20AC)

Multifunction Tests Include:

• Power frequency tan delta/power factor measurements
• Power frequency capacitance measurements
• Hot collar testing
• Tip-up/step voltage testing
• DC insulation testing (Insulation Resistance,
• Polarization Index and Dielectric Absorption Ratio)
• Excitation current measurements

The IDAX 300 performs the necessary tests to predict when an oil change is required or when a breakdown in winding insulation is likely to occur. 

IDAX300 – A compact and light three-channel input (red, blue, and ground), three-terminal (generator, measure, and guard), and one ammeter instrument for use with an external computer that runs the IDAX diagnostic software.
