SmartPocket V2 OLP-39X PON Power Meter – Precise Testing for GPON & EPON

You can measure optical power levels for both G/E-PON and XGS-PON/10G-EPON services using the Viavi SmartPocket V2 OLP-39X. Designed for fibre technicians working in the Last-Mile of FTTH deployments, the new OLP-39 is the industry’s first wavelength selective Passive Optical Network (PON) power meter which has been enhanced with TruePON data analysis and enables simultaneous measurement of GPON and XGS-PON PON-ID. 

• Performs wavelength selective optical power measurements suitable for testing G-PON networks, as defined in ITU-T G.983/4 or IEEE 802.3ah (OLP-39G) and XGS-PON networks, as defined in ITU-T G.9807.1 respectively (OLP-39X)

A PON tester (Passive Optical Network tester) can be used to test and troubleshoot fibre optic networks, specifically PON networks like GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) and EPON (Ethernet Passive Optical Network)

Applications include:

• Proof of Work Completion
• Conducting Acceptance Testing
• Generating Detailed Reports
• Service activation, maintenance, and troubleshooting

• OLT-ID, ODN class and loss based on TOL for G-PON (OLP-39G) and XGS-PON (OLP-39X)
• Display of G-PON and XGS-PON results separately or simultaneously (OLP-39X)
