The New PDS Insight 2 is Engineered for Quick and Efficient Screening, Allowing Engineers to Detect Potential Faults in Equipment Early whilst Ensuring Safe Operation of Electrical Assets

Designed to ensure that your electrical assets are maintained to the highest working condition.  The new Phase Resolved Partial Discharge (PRPD) feature in the PDS Insight™ 2  is designed to help remove background noise from the true partial discharge sources, which will help you to avoid in-service failures and costly, unplanned outages.

The PDS Insight™ measures PD Levels, PD Pulse Count and Cumulative PD Activity across the 50/60Hz power cycle to enable the severity of any partial discharge activity to be assessed. By combining three types of PD sensor (TEV, HFCT and AA), the unit is suitable for the OLPD testing of most types of in-service medium voltage (MV) cables and plant and OLPD surveying of outdoor high voltage (HV) switch-yards. 

OLPD Manager™ App

• Suitable for OLPD testing of power cables, switch-gear and transformers, the handheld unit stores all measurement data on its hard disk that is then synchronised via Bluetooth® to the OLPD Manager™ app for analysis, benchmarking and trending.
• Shipped with Android Tablet for the recording of results to the OLPD Manager™ app

Additional Features

• Detects electromagnetic radiation from PD in metal-clad plant (TEV),current impulses from PD in cables and accessories (HFCT), and ultrasonic radiation from PD into air from air-insulated switchgear and other plant (AA).
• Synchronise with the power supply frequency and generate 2D/3D PRPD patterns.
